A Marathon man was arrested Monday (March 11) afternoon after a physical disturbance at a residence on Carter Slocum Road in the town of Freetown.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office arrived to the scene just after 3:00, where they report that 27 year-old Zachary Smith had already fled.
His victim was not identified by Police, but they say the incident did cause a trip to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center for treatment.
Smith was located an hour later and arrested without incident for assault and unlawful imprisonment.
He’s due to return to the Town of Freetown Court on March 27.
