The Marathon Central School District Board of Education has announced that they currently have a vacancy on their board.
This opening due to a board member resignation that occurred on May 22nd.
The board has determined that to fill the seat and satisfy the state’s education law, they’ll hold a special election scheduled for August 17th.
The elected board member would serve out the unexpired term remaining. The term expires on June 30, 2024.
The special election will be held at the Marathon High School CSE Office between the hours of Noon to 9 pm.
