Man shoots through occupied building in Marathon

Police cuffed a man yesterday who fired his gun through a shared porch at an occupied apartment building on Mill Street in the town of Marathon.

Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department responded around 4:15 pm and arrested 21-year-old Daniel Fox, a resident of the town.

His charges include:

Tampering with physical evidence (Class E Felony)
Reckless endangerment in the Second Degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
Discharging a firearm within 500 Feet of a dwelling (Unclassified Misdemeanor)

Fox was brought to the Public Safety Building, then released on appearance tickets in accordance with state bail reform.

He is set for a December 16 court date in Marathon Town Court.
