Man Found Injured & Bleeding at Polkville Gas Station; Troopers Investigating Possible E-Bike Fall
New York State Police are investigating an incident that occurred Tuesday evening at the Speedway gas station on Route 11 in Polkville.
According to authorities, troopers were dispatched by Cortland County 9-1-1 around 7 p.m. on March 10 for a report of a man lying in the parking lot and bleeding. TLC Ambulance also responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, troopers located the man, identified as 56-year-old Gary A. Kouril of Cincinnatus. Police say Kouril was alert but was not verbally responding to troopers while on scene. While speaking with him, troopers reported smelling alcohol on his breath.
TLC Ambulance transported Kouril to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
State Police believe Kouril may have fallen from an electric bike he was riding, causing the injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
