Man Doing Burnouts at Mobil Gas Station in Homer Arrested For DWI
Last Saturday morning, August 10th, around 11:30, State Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for spinning their tires and doing a burnout at the Mobil Gas station at the corner of Route 281 and Route 90 in Homer.
During the investigation with the driver, identified as 22 year old Kieran K. Matzky of Pittsford, Troopers smelled an odor of alcohol from Matzky. State Police Matzky also showed characteristics that are common with impairment.
State Police say they had Matzkey perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, to which he performed poorly on. Matzkey at the time was also found to have a Blood Alcohol Content of .14%, almost double the legal allowance.
Matzky was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor. He was processed and later issued an appearance ticket to Homer Town Court scheduled for next month. He was then released to a sober third party.
