Ithaca Police responded to the 100 block of Cayuga Park Lane in the City of Ithaca around 8:20 last night for a reported disturbance. The caller on the phone to 9-1-1 dispatch reported a male forced his way into the residence and began to attack the residents inside with a large piece of wood.
As officers arrived on scene, the suspect had already left. Police learned one of the residents was able to disarm the attacker and no one inside was injured. The suspect was known to the victims and IPD is not releasing his name as the investigation continues.
