Around 10pm last night, the City of Cortland Police Department responded to an armed intruder incident at a residence on South Main Street in the City of Cortland.
Police were informed that Shoun T. Pinder of Bethlehem Pennsylvania, had entered into the residence of the victim. Pinder did not know the victim or other occupants.
Once inside the residence, Pinder then armed himself with a knife and grabbed hold of an adult female and refused to let her go. The victim informed police she was afraid for her life.
As officers arrived, they found Pinder outside the residence and arrested him with charges of Burglary in the 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd, both Felonies, Menacing in the 2nd, a Misdemeanor, and Harassment in the 2nd, a violation.
At this time, Pinder is awaiting arraignment in Cortland City Court.
