After an investigation by the Cortland County Sheriff’s department officers charged 37 year old Jason S. Gassner with 3 counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (Felony), and 3 counts of Petit Larceny (Misdemeanor).
Gassner was also charged in the Town of Homer for one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and in the City of Cortland of the same charge.
He was arrested after three total investigations two of which dated back to October of 2020 and the third in April of this year.
During the investigation officers determined that Gassner was in possession of a stolen credit card and used it at multiple businesses in the Town of Cortlandville. This charge came from an investigation that was reported to the Town of Cortlandville in October of 2020.
He is also being charged from being in possession of stereo equipment which was reported stolen back in October of 2020.
Again, in April of this year Gassner was again found to be in possession of unrelated reported stolen stereo equipment in the City of Cortland and was again charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
Jason Gassner is currently held at Cortland County Jail on unrelated charges with no bail.
