Man Arrested After Forcibly Touching Victim at Kwik Fil in Cortlandville

Just after 9:30 in the evening on Sunday, August 18th, officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Kwik Fil at 1057 Route 13 for a reported sex crime that had occurred.

During their investigation into the crime, officers determined 40 year old Michael S. Lynch of Cortlandville, had forcibly touched a victim who he knew in their intimate body part while inside the gas station.

Officers arrested Lynch with a charge of Forcible Touching, a Misdemeanor. He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and arraigned the following day through the Centralized Arraignment Process. Lynch was released on his own recognizance.

He is due in Cortlandville Town Court next month.
