The City of Cortland Police Department responded to a report of a man exposing himself to women and children at Yaman Park on Monday, September 4th.
An investigation found 43 year old David W. White was the suspect in the case. Officers also learned a family had felt sorry for White and provided him with food and drink while in the park. White had then attempted to grope and touch an adult woman in her crotch area.
He then exposed his genitals to several other women and children that were with the party. Officers arrested and charged White with Persisten Sexual Abuse, a Felony, Forcible Touching, Public Lewdness, and Endangering the welfare of a child, all Misdemeanors.
Cortland Police were assisted by the Cortland Youth Bureau who issued a permanent no trespass order from all City of Cortland parks.
White was arraigned in Cortland City Court and remanded to Cortland County Jail with an appearance back in court at a later date.
