Lowe’s Thefts Results In Police Chase That Ended In Tully

On Saturday afternoon, Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies chased down two men wanted for stealing from the Lowe’s in Cortlandville.

Troy Noble, 48, of Rickard Street in Cortland, and Darin Bovay, 51, of Greenbush Street in Cortland, both face charges of larceny and conspiracy, according to county police.

Noble is also charged with fleeing police and having a hypodermic instrument.

Both were sent to the Cortland County Jail, to be arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court Wednesday morning.

According to information provided by the Sheriff’s department, deputies were called at about 1:30 Saturday afternoon by store security and told the suspects were headed north.

State and County police caught up to them on 81 in Preble but they took off.

Officers stopped them again at Rt 281 and Rt 80 in Tully.
