Locke Man Arrested on Rape Charges After Investigation of Sex Abuse of a Juvenile Less Than 15 Years Old
A Locke man has been arrested following an extensive investigation of sexual abuse allegations which involved a juvenile less than 15 years old. New York State Police’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Auburn arrested 43 year old Christopher T. Quaile of Locke on the charge of Rape in the 2nd.
State Police say the investigation into the allegations was opened back on January 14th, when Cortland County Child Protective Services, or CPS, contacted them regarding disclosures that were made by the victim. State Police say their investigators determined Quaile had engaged in criminal sexual conduct with the victim on numerous occasions in July of 2023.
Earlier this month, on March 5th, State Police coordinated with the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office for an Order to Produce to bring Quaile from the Cayuga County Jail; Qualie was already in jail on unrelated charges. State Police officially charged Quaile with Rape in the 2nd on March 10th at the State Police Barracks in Auburn.
Quaile was taken back to Cayuga County Jail after he was processed for Centralized Arraignment. State Police say prosecutors have recommended no bail for Quaile due to prior felony convictions and his pending sentencing on an unrelated felony case.
