
Locke Man Arrested For Felony DWI And Leaving Scene of An Accident
Local News March 12, 2019A Locke man was arrested early Sunday (March 10) morning for a felony DWI and an attempted hit-and-run.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene just after 3:30 Sunday morning on Route 90 in the Town of Homer.
They say 37-year-old David Dean was travelling westbound when he crossed over into the eastbound lane of traffic and struck a stopped vehicle that was helping another one that was disabled.
Police say Dean attempted to flee the scene, but he drove back off the roadway and became stuck in a ditch.
He was located by officers a short distance away and found to be intoxicated. He was also driving with a revoked license.
He’s currently being held on bail and due back in Homer Court on March 19.
