The SUNY Cortland Softball team won both games of their double header Saturday 5-0 and 4-0, respectively.

Cailey Cuttita knocked in 2 runs on a base hit to left and a groundout to 2nd base. Lexi Szenat went 2-3 with an RBI double. Karlee Weeden pitched 7 shutout innings with  strikeouts in the 5-0 win.

In the second game, Kelly O’Gorman went 2-4 with a 2 run homer and Cuttita went 3-4 with 2 doubles, a base hit, and 2 RBI. Jess Miller went 2-3 with an RBI as well. The most impressive performance was from Courtney Kane who threw a no-hitter with 6 strikeouts.

Their next double header will be today against Oneonta with the first game starting at 3 PM.


The SUNY Cortland Men’s Lacrosse team lost a tough game against Geneseo 10-9. They fall to 2-2 on the season. Their next game will be Wednesday, April 7th, at 4 PM against St. John Fisher.


The Syracuse Crunch lost to the Rochester Americans on Saturday 5-3. Their next game will be Wednesday, April 7th at 7 PM against the Americans again.


The Binghamton Devils lost to the Hershey Bears 4-2 on Saturday to stretch their losing streak to 5. Their next game will be tonight at 7 PM against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.


Tune into X101 at 6PM tomorrow, April 6th for a special high school football broadcast with commentary by Vinnie Bellardini and Frank Bellantoni. Cortland will take on West Hill at Cortland High School.


The Tompkins- Cortland Community College Baseball team dropped both games of a double header against Jamestown Community College by scores of 7-4 and 8-7. Their next 2 games will be Saturday, April 10th, against Mohawk Valley Community college with the first game starting at 1 PM.
