The SUNY Cortland Women’s Lacrosse team defeated St John Fisher 6-3 yesterday.  Hannah Keech scored 3 goals while Toni Cashman, Hannah Tiso and Emily Goebel each added a goal too.

Their next game will be Wednesday, April 7th, at 4 PM against Oneonta.

The Homer Trojans beat up the Chittenango Bears 55-6 yesterday in a game that was originally scheduled for today. Andrew VanPatten led the way for Homer on the ground as he rushed for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns of  26, 62, and 2 on 19 attempts.

Jakob Denkenberger opened the scoring with a 14 yard score and Homer poured it on from there, Quarterback Jake Calabro followed that up with a play action pass that landed right in Tight End Colin Perks’ hands.

Sam Sorenson, the big fullback, also caught a 20 yard touchdown on a bootleg play that left him wide open out of the backfield.

David Morse and Damani Durham each scored 6 yard touchdowns to ice the game.

On the other side Chittenango was unproductive to say the least. A fumble recovery touchdown by Martez Webb salvaged a shutout.

Tune into X101 at 6PM on Tuesday, April 6th for a special high school football broadcast with commentary by Vinnie Bellardini and Frank Bellantoni. Cortland will take on West Hill at Cortland High School.
