Catch coverage of High School Football on X101 as Homer and Cortland compete in a Cross town battle on Tuesday. April 13th at 6 PM. Commentary by Vinnie Bellardini and Frank Bellantoni.


The SUNY Cortland Men’s Lacrosse team beat Oswego 16-7 on Friday. Dante Yacavone scored 4 goals and had 3 assists. Troy Morris, Zak Jones, and  Connor Leonard each scored 2 goals while Pat Doyen, Colton Smith, Brandon Stiles, Tim Grosso, Anthony Larosa, and Mike Nicholson each scored a goal.

Their next game will be Tuesday, April 13th against Brockport.


The SUNY Cortland Women’s Golf team came in 2nd place at the Red Dragon Spring Shoot-out on Saturday with Danielle Bombola shooting a session low 76(+4).

Bombola would not stop there as the following day at the William Smith Invitational she won the individual title shooting 79 through 18 holes and propelling Cortland to another 2nd place finish.

Their next tournament will be the Central New York Spring Invitational at Pompey Club in Jamesville on Saturday, April 17th.


The SUNY Cortland Softball team split a double header against Oneonta by scores of 9-4(W) and 7-5(L). Kelly O’Gorman went 3-5 with a Grand slam and knocked in all 4 of her RBIs in 1 swing. Lexi Szesnat went 3-4 with an RBI single, a double, and also walked with the bases loaded.

Their next 2 games will be against Ithaca on Wednesday, April 14th with the first game starting at 3 PM.


The SUNY Cortland Baseball team swept both games of a doubleheader against Union on Saturday by scores of 8-1 and 10-5. In the 1st game Mat Bruno went 2-4 with 2 RBIs and James Varian went 3-4 with an RBI. In the second game, Ben Rhodes went 2-4 with 5 RBIs including a base clearing double with the bases loaded to secure a lead for the Red Dragons.

Their next 2 games will be Thursday, April 15th against New Paltz with the 1st game starting at 1 PM.


The SUNY Cortland Women’s Lacrosse team beat Plattsburgh 22-5 over the weekend to improve to 5-1 on the season. Toni Cashman scored 5 goals, Amy Hoeffner scored 4, Ceceilia Procopio and Hannah Lorenzen scored 3, Emily Goebel scored 2, and Hannah Tiso, Shelby Mueduski, Madelyn Czyz, Sydney Stamboli, and Kiki Meager each scored 1.

Their next game is today at 4 PM against Oneonta.


The Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers split a double header against Mohawk Valley Community College by scores of 7-5(W) and 7-2 (L). In their win, Jaden Nelomes went 2-4 with 2 RBIS and Luke Ough went 3-4 with an RBI.

Their next 2 games will be Saturday, April 17th against Cayuga Community College with the first game starting at 1 PM.


The Syracuse Crunch beat the Utica Comets over the weekend  5-1. Their next game will be Tuesday April 13th against the Utica Comets again.
