Fire Departments from Cortland County were among the more than 30 departments that responded to a massive fire at a lumber pallet company in Jamesville on Saturday night. No injuries were reported in connection with the fire.
The call came after 9:30 p.m. as flames were spotted at the B&B Lumber Company on Solvay Road in Jamesville. The lumber yard is located at the end of a remote road and multiple tankers were needed to haul water to the scene.
The Truxton, Cuyler, and Preble Fire Departments were among those that responded.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but is not believed to be suspicious.
