Local Business, Joseph Rivers Painting Launches “Paint Out Hunger” Food-Drive Campaign
Joseph River Painting based in Homer, New York, has begun a food drive to help fight hunger in the Cortland community. Their campaign, “Paint Out Hunger,” is collecting food to help local families in need. Joseph Rivers Painting has partnered with the Cortland County Community Action Program (CAPCO) to ensure all donated items go where they are needed most.
The launch of the drive is in part of the delays in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. Joseph Rivers Painting Owner, Joe Rivers, credits his wife Courtney for spearheading the effort.
Items being accepted include non-perishable: canned soups, vegetables, peanut butter, pasta, cereal, baby food, and household stables. Collections will be accepted through the end of this month. Drop-off may be done at Joseph Rivers Painting at 5034 US Route 11 in Homer.
“Every can, every dollar, and every share helps us make a real difference. Let’s keep the energy going and Paint Out Hunger together!” Joseph Rivers Painting said.
