The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting motorists to the closure of County Route 109 (Little York Crossing) in the Town of Homer.
Repairs are needed to the bridges carrying I-81 over Route 109. A vehicle collided with the structures on Thursday, November 4.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of November.
Area motorists can access Little York Crossing up to the I-81 bridges using State Route 11 and Route 281. All other traffic will be detoured to Preble Road.
Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
As a reminder, fines are doubled for speeding in work zones.
