Saturday’s (January 4) Meet Cortland County segment featured Paul Heider, who was sworn in last week as the newest chairman of the Cortland County Legislature.
That happened by way of a unanimous vote at the group’s first organizational meeting of the year on Thursday morning (January 2).
Now in his third year as a legislator, Heider told Bellardini that one of his primary goals is to improve cooperation among legislators when contentious issues arise.
He emphasized the need for each legislator to lead by example, prioritizing service to county before political loyalties in order to work towards a common goal.
To discuss more, Heider met for an interview in his new office on the third floor of the Cortland County office building.
