The Homer Village Board of Trustees last night (December 11) voted to move forward with an eminent domain decision, overtaking a property at 215 South Main Street to continue its Route 11 linear park project.
Village clerk Dan Egnor stopped by yesterday to discuss the process for this morning’s Happening in Homer segment, which airs every other Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
A public hearing was held prior to the vote in order to allow any remaining concerns to be presented, but ultimately trustees decided to move forward with the acquisition.
The village has received a grant for the project, which includes funds to purchase the properties necessary for its construction.
