Lisle Man Arrested For Violating Order of Protection

He couldn’t stay away, according to Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies, but 42-year old Ricki Stanton, Jr, of Lisle, was under court order to do just that. Last Wednesday, Stanton is accused of violating an order of protection by contacting the protected person in Willet. He was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Contempt three days later, arraigned and released. Stanton is due in Willet Town Court Thursday night.

Brief Narrative of Incident: 

  On February 23rd 2022, at approximately 10:36 PM, Officers of the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the Town of Willet for a reported order of protection violation. It was reported the defendant, Ricki R. Stanton Jr., violated a full stay away order of protection by contacting the protected party.  After a warrant was issued Ricki R. Stanton Jr. was arrested and charged with the above charges.  Ricki R. Stanton Jr. was transported back to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process.  Mr. Stanton was released on his own recognizance after arraignment and scheduled to appear in the Town of Willet Court on March 3rd, 2022 at 6:00 PM for further proceedings.
