Cortland County lawmakers have approved a new two-year contract with the county budget officer Peggy Mousaw.
Mousaw, who started with the county back in April, will be paid over $95 thousand dollars a year.
The new contract calls for the county to pick up a larger share of her health care benefits upon retirement. The county will pay 70% while she pays 30% if she stays with the county for 10 years. The benefit is typically reserved for long term employees.
The new contract allows Mousaw to work a 4 day work week based on 35 hours a week. She will receive 15 vacation days in 2016 and 16 in 2017.
