A leading LED lighting manufacturer is bringing more than 400 jobs to Central New York.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday that Soraa will bring manufacturing and research and development operations to the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute’s Central New York Hub for Emerging Nano Industries in DeWitt, Onondaga County.
The company will invest $1.3 billion over the next 10 years. The state will spend $90 million to construct the 82,500-square foot facility.
Soraa’s central New York operations will create 300 manufacturing jobs and 120 research and development support jobs. The firm will work with SUNY Polytechnic to secure an additional 170 support jobs.
