League of Women Voters of Cortland County Hosting Nonpartisan Candidate Forums
The League of Women Voters of Cortland County, a nonpartisan organization, will be hosting two candidate forums this week. One for candidates running in the Village of Homer Board of Trustees and the second for Preble Town Supervisor. Both forums will be online via Zoom with the first taking place tonight at 8pm for the Homer Board of Trustees. The Preble Town Supervisor forum will be on Thursday, October 16th at 7pm.
The League of Women Voters of Cortland County says for tonight’s Homer Board of Trustees forum, the candidates of Liza Arnold, Ed Porter, Ed Finkbeiner (all three incumbents), Tim Maxson, Robert Russell & Mike Opsteegh, will participate. Constituents who vote for Trustees will learn more about each candidate in a nonpartisan forum and hear directly from them.
Thursday’s Preble Town Supervisor forum will have James Doring & Nathan Shirley participating.
Both forums via Zoom are free to attend. Registration is required for the Zoom link. More information may also be found on the League of Women Voters of Cortland County website, LWVCortlandCounty.org.
