A home invasion shooting is under investigation in the town of Lansing, which happened just after 11 pm Thursday (October 14) night.
Tompkins County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Milton Meadows Apartments on Robins Way.
Upon arrival, they located a 31 year-old male with a gunshot wound to his foot; along with head lacerations from being struck with the gun.
The victim said he opened his apartment door and was immediately rushed by two subjects who demanded money before committing the assault.
He was transported to a regional trauma center, then released after treatment.
Police now seek help from the public with the investigation.
