The combination of brief bursts of snow and gusty winds reduced visibility at times to a half mile or less.

Rapid accumulation may continue to occur on untreated roads — especially in higher elevation areas — causing pockets of hazardous travel conditions throughout the day.

Use extra caution and give yourself extra time to reach destinations.

Weather officials expect the snow to taper off by the late morning, when it begins to mix with rain.
