The United Way 2018 campaign is days away from wrapping up.
Executive Director Cristella Yonta says the agency started the month of June just $40,000 away from reaching 100% of its goal and now just needs $26,000 to make it.
Funds will be allocated next month to programs that provide meals like the summer lunch program, childcare and kindergarten readiness programs, mentors and counseling for struggling families and local emergency disaster assistance.
Support from the public invests in a network programs that build a strong community.
