The month of June is looking to be busy for planned road construction projects.
DOT work continues on NY-13 southbound at the four corners in Dryden (East Main Street; NY 392; South Street; NY 38).
Alternating one-way traffic is expected through the end of the month, seven days a week from 7 am to 5 pm.
Flaggers will be set up to help guide traffic through the work zone.
Meanwhile, Cortland County highway crews embarked on a major paving project this week.
They’ll be on Song Mountain Road — between Otisco Valley and Curtain Roads — removing the guide rail and replacing it with large stackable boulders in order to stabilize and strengthen the embankment.
Because the road is narrow, it will have to be closed on a daily basis between the hours of 7 am and 330 pm during the work week.
No traffic will be able to get through during this time.
CCHD also continues work on part of McGraw-Marathon Road.
Motorist should avoid these areas if possible and use extra caution in all active work zones.
