The Cortland County Republican Committee is unanimously backing the re-election campaign of Judge Julie Campbell.
Campbell was first appointed to the County Court bench in 2003 and was re-elected to the post in 2013. During her overall 20-year tenure Campbell has handled tens of thousands of cases as well as hundreds of trials, which includes more than a hundred felony criminal jury cases. She’s also served as an Acting State Supreme Court Justice since 2008, has been a mentor to new judges, and been a teacher at the NYS Judicial Institute.
Additionally, Campbell has been an active facet of the Cortland community, serving as a current or former Board Member of organizations like the Cortland Hospital and Cortland Free Library.
Election Day takes place November 7th.
