Judge Julie Campbell Endorsed by County Police Association of Cortland

Incumbent Cortland County Judge Julie Campbell has been endorsed by the County Police Association of Cortland for her re-election bid for 2023. The association is the union representing the road patrol and criminal investigations officers for the Sheriff’s Office in Cortland County.




“I am honored and humbled to have earned the respect of the brave men and women who serve and protect Cortland County every day,” said Judge Campbell. “As I have done throughout my time as judge, I will continue working hard to ensure that justice is carried out fairly and impartially in Cortland County.”

Judge Julie Campbell was elected to Cortland County Judge back in 2003, and was re-elected in 2013. Judge Campbell is known for presiding over some of the Cortland areas biggest trials including murders, drug sales, sex offenses, child abuse and domestic violence.

“Judge Campbell has proven herself as an outstanding jurist during her 20 years of service as Cortland County Judge,” said Cody Sandy, President of the Police Association. “We are proud to wholeheartedly endorse her re-election campaign so the people of Cortland County can remain confident that those who appear in the courtroom will be heard by a judge with unquestioned integrity and a thorough knowledge of the law.”

Over her career Judge Campbell has handled thousands of cases and presided over hundreds of trials. She has also served as an Acting Supreme Court Justice since 2008.

Judge Campbell has also been endorsed by the Republican and Conservative Parties and will appear on both parties’ ballot lines on election day, November 7th, 2023.
