The New York State Department of Transportation shared the latest information on the I-81 milling and paving project between Homer and Tully.
The black paved bumps in the road every 80-feet or so are from joint repairs.
DOT spokesperson Gene Cilento says that work is finished.
Repaving is underway, and the joint repairs should be unnoticeable soon.
The DOT plans to have the north and south lanes repaved by the end of this construction season.
Repaving of the on and off ramps between Homer and Tully is planned for next year and will complete the job.
