An Ithaca woman was arrested Sunday (December 9) night after she ran a red light and struck a marked State Police vehicle, sending both the trooper and her passenger to the hospital.
State Police say 23-year-old Molly Donovan ran a red light just before 9 p.m. Sunday night near the intersection of Route 13 and W. Buffalo Street in the city of Ithaca, striking the trooper’s vehicle in the driver’s side quarter panel.
Both the trooper and a juvenile passenger she was transporting were taken to Cayuga Medical, where they were treated and later released.
Donovan was treated on the scene by Bangs Ambulance and subsequently arrested after troopers located marijuana and cannabis oil in her vehicle.
She was released on appearance tickets returnable tot the city of Ithaca Court on December 19.
