On Thursday, February 2nd, around 2:30 in the morning. Officers from the Ithaca Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations.
Officers conducting the traffic stop learned the driver of the vehicle had provided a fake identification to officers. Further investigation conducted by officers also found the vehicle she was driving had been stolen from a dealership in Ithaca recently. Officers were able to identify the driver as 32 year old Amanda Linderberry of Ithaca.
Upon arresting Linderberry, officers also found her to be in possession of Meth.
She was then charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd, a Felony, False Personation, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd, all Misdemeanors. She was also charged with multiple traffic violations.
Linderberry was also found to have an active bench warrant from Tompkins County for an Attempted Burglary in the 2nd. She was arranged in Ithaca City Court and remanded to Tompkins County Jail on $1,500 bail.
