Around 6:40 this morning, the Ithaca Police Department, Fire Department, and Bangs Ambulance responded to the area of Ithaca Falls on Lake Street in the City of Ithaca for a reported deceased person in the water.
Arriving responders found a male victim in the water near the base of the waterfall. Emergency personnel confirmed the male died as a result of drowning.
Ithaca Police say no foul play is suspected. The investigation is ongoing and no further information has been released, including the identity of the victim.
