Both the Ithaca Police Department and the New York State Police have been investigating a missing persons case since mid-May of 33 year old Thomas Rath.
Additional assistance by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, information during the investigation shows Rath was forcibly abducted. Officials are now investigating the case as a kidnapping and possible homicide.
Thomas Rath was last seen in the area known to many as “The Jungle” in Ithaca on May 20th, and has not been seen since. He is 33 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing about 145 pounds. Rath also has multiple tattoos, one specifically being a black and pink heart on his neck.
Ithaca Police asks anyone who may have information including media related video/audio, to contact IPD via their tip-line at 607-330-0000.
