Ithaca Police Make Arrest on Menacing With a Weapon

On Tuesday in the City of Ithaca around 10:20 in the morning Ithaca Police responded to a residence on Center Street in the City of Ithaca of a call of three people armed with a gun trying to break into the victims residence.



When police arrived all three fled the scene. Police discovered a gun was never shown, but was threatened. No injuries were reported as the victim remained inside the residence.

The incident was determined as a domestic dispute.

Ithaca Police later found the three suspects and interviewed them. Police recovered a knife that was on scene, but not displayed. The suspect with the knife was identified as 42 year old Brett McBean.

McBean was arrested and charged with menacing in the 3rd degree and criminal trespass in the 2nd degree.

She was released on her own recognizance.
