Ithaca Police Investigating Bomb Threat At Tompkins Financial

Ithaca Police are investigating a bomb threat that occurred yesterday (February 28) morning at the Tompkins Financial on East Seneca Street in downtown Ithaca.

Police responded to the scene just before 8:30 a.m.

The building was then evacuated and searched with K9 units from both IPD and the Cornell
University Police Department. They also received assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Ultimately, nothing suspicious or otherwise out of the ordinary was located and Police say there is no current threat to the public.

Investigators are now conducting follow-up leads at this time.
