Ithaca Police Investigate Stabbing on Friday Afternoon

A little after 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, October 27th, emergency officials from Ithaca Police, and Fire Department, along with Bangs Ambulance responded to the 200 Block of S. Fulton Street in the City of Ithaca for a reported stabbing.

As IPD officers arrived, they found the victim already being treated by members of Bangs Ambulance for non-life-threatening stab wounds. The victim was treated and later sent via helicopter to a regional trauma center. Ithaca Police reports the victim is in stable condition.

As Ithaca Police investigated the stabbing, the victim was able to identify the suspect. Officers soon located the suspect after a deputy from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office as well as a New York State Trooper.

Ithaca Police say the stabbing was a result of a dispute between both parties. Both knew each other. No charges have been filed against either person at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
