Ithaca Police Increase Presence at Schools After Mass Shooting

With the recent mass shooting at Uvalde, Texas and in Buffalo, NY the Ithaca Police Department will increase their presence at schools in Ithaca according to acting Chief John Joly.

There is no knowledge of any specific threats in the Ithaca community, but the IPD states there also wasn’t any specific threats from the two shootings.

The department’s intent is to help the students and faculty have an increased amount of safety and security.
