Local News

Ithaca Police are investigating an incident from Monday (August 26) night, where a possible mobile methamphetamine lab was discovered during an armed robbery investigation in an area commonly known as “the Jungle,” located adjacent to Fairgrounds Memorial Parkway.

Officers responded to the scene just before midnight on reports that a victim had been robbed at gun and knifepoint.

They were soon able to identify potential suspects and located them in the area, armed with machetes and a BB gun that looked like a real handgun.

During the course of their investigation, police also discovered what they believe to be a mobile methamphetamine laboratory.

At this time, no arrests have been made.

The Ithaca Police Department is now reviewing all evidence, as their investigation continues.
