A 19-year-old Ithaca man was arrested yesterday (August 15) for an incident that occurred on Monday (August 12) where Police say he shot a male victim with a flare gun near the 500 Block of West Seneca Street.
Officers were called to the scene just past 3:00 Monday afternoon on reports of a possible gunshot victim.
They soon located the victim with near 3rd-degree burns on his arm and various items on his porch that were either smoldering or had burn marks. He was brought to a nearby trauma center and treated for injuries including a defensive wound on his arm caused by blocking the flare.
Ithaca Police continued their investigation and were ultimately led to the arrest of 19-year-old Razeah Flanigan, of West Buffalo Street, who was remanded to Tompkins County Jail not only for this incident, but a probation violation as well.
No additional details are available, as investigation into Monday’s incident continues. Police say more persons of interest have been identified.
