Tomorrow, March 23rd, beginning at 10am registration will open for this year’s Ithaca Polar Plunge on Cayuga Lake. The Polar Plunge is being hosted by the Special Olympics of New York and is to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics New York athletes in the Southern Tier Region.

The event will take place at Taughannock Falls State Park Beach and is open to anyone who wants to “take the plunge.” Same day registration will be open with a minimum donation of $125.

“The Polar Plunge is one of the most popular, profitable, and exciting fundraisers for Special Olympics New York. Participants raise money by asking friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances for donations.”

NY Special Olympics said in a release.
