Ithaca man charged after traffic stop yields guns, drugs

An Ithaca man was hit with felony drug and weapons charges during a traffic stop last week in Otsego County.

State police pulled a vehicle over last Wednesday (August 12) afternoon on I-88 in the town of Otego, then searched it upon smelling marijuana inside.

Investigators found one of the passengers, 21-year-old Jordan Pratt, with two illegal and loaded handguns along with an undisclosed amount of drugs.

The driver and two other passengers were all minors and were not charged.

Pratt was arrested and arraigned virtually while at SP Oneonta, later remanded to the Otsego County jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

His charges include felonies of 3rd-Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (one count for the possession and a second count for intent to sell) and two counts of 2nd-Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
