Ithaca Firefighters Saved Cat From Burning Home Monday

Ithaca firefighters saved a cat from a burning home on Hudson Street early Monday morning.

When fire crews responded to the scene in the South Hill area just before 3 a.m. they encountered fire from the back of the two-story house.

No one was injured during the fire.

They say the fire was under control in approximately 15 minutes.

Firefighters were still on the scene approximately an hour later looking for hot spots.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.
