Ithaca College public safety officials say a student at the school made threats made via social media prior to the Cortaca football game.
Public safety officials say the student posted two threatening messages related to the game on the anonymous social media site Yik Yak.
The threats, which were posted on November 11th and 12th, were made against protesters at the school, who had been speaking out over alleged discrimination and bias at Ithaca College.
One threat said students would be “jumped” if they did anything at the football game between Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland.
The unidentified student who posted the threats will face a review from school officials for harassment and cyber-bullying, which are violations of the Student Conduct Code.
