WXHC recently spoke with Roxan Noble, deputy director at the Ithaca-Tompkins International airport.

She went over some of the “do’s and don’ts” for passengers who are planning a trip during the ongoing pandemic.

Noble says arriving early is key to ensuring pre-flight responsibilities are met on-time.

“The last thing you want is to have to repack a bag or leave something behind because it’s too heavy,” said Noble. “These are the types of things you should try to handle ahead of time.

No covid-19 test is currently required to board domestic flights. However, passengers should continue masking up and following other protocols established by individual airlines.

During the inverview, Noble also discussed renovations at the airport that were recently completed as part of its transformation from a regional to an international facility.

Her hope is the current trend of increased domestic flights will eventually open up to those worldwide, as well.
