Intoxicated Woman Charged With Disorderly Conduct & Resisting Arrest – Kicked Officer
Homer Police say they and the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched for an intoxicated and disorderly woman at the Center for the Arts at 72 South Main Street in Homer just before 10:30pm on September 5th.
Homer Police say when officers arrived on scene, they made contact with a woman, later identified as Christine L. Dick of Cortland, who was believed to be under the influence and refusing to leave the property.
When officers spoke with her and then attempted to remove her from the property, she then became aggressive towards them. Homer Police say one officer was kicked by her. She was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct as a result. Dick continued to resist officers while she was placed into custody. She was then charged with Resisting Arrest, a Misdemeanor.
Dick was transported to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center for treatment related to her intoxication, Homer Police say. While at the hospital, she was released on appearance tickets. She is due in Homer Town Court next month.
