Injured Worker Rescued by First Responders at Building Site

One person was rescued by first responders after suffering an apparent broken leg on Tuesday afternoon. Freeville Fire along with Dryden Fire and Ambulance responded to a construction site at a residence for a worker who had fallen into a foundation excavation.

Dryden Fire said in a release firefighters evaluated the situation at hand and utilized a stokes litter, were then able to carry the worker around the foundation and into the ambulance. The department says they train and equip for multiple scenarios, including the one that transpired.
