Beginning tonight the New York State Department of Transportation is informing those that use I81 north or southbound between exits 16 and 17 in Nedrow, NY, that road closures on the highway will be in place from 8pm to 6am.
For I81 northbound the overnight closures will go through August 10th and highway traffic will be detoured to US Route 11.
Southbound traffic on I81 will be closed beginning on August 10 through the 12th. There will be a single lane open for those heading towards I481. All other traffic will be diverted to exit 17 and follow a detour route on US Route 11 as well.
NYDOT is urging travelers to plan your trip accordingly and to use caution when traveling through construction zones.
